Keeping in view the recent Mahbubnagar and Haveri VOLVO accidents and strict measures and terms and conditions being kept by the state governments regarding safety and precautions to be undertaken in VOLVOs while undertaking long distance journeys, various VOLVO operators across the Southern states in India have taken a step ahead to introduce back seat pocket safety pamphlets analogous to the ones that can be found in airlines.
The safety pamphlets mentions about Emergency Exits in the bus, the procedure to break emergency windows in case of any mishaps, information regarding main door exit, roof hatch exit, placement of fire extinguishers and use of seat belts.
A diagramatic layout of the bus mentioning the emergency exit glass windows and location of the fire extinguishers (a minimum of two extinguishers to be kept mandatorily) will also be mentioned in the safety pamphlets.
