Manali is a hill station nestled in the mountains of the Indian State of Himachal Pradeshnear the Northern End of the Kulu Valley, at an altitude of 2050 m (6726 ft) in the Beas River Valley. It is located in the Kulu district, about 270 km north of the state capital, Shimla. Manali is a popular tourist destination in India especially in the Winters for sight seeing, ski resorts and other tourist activities.
