About Association of State Road Transport Undertakings (ASRTU) :

ASRTU is an apex coordinating body of all State Road Transport Undertakings (SRTUS) . The Secretary, (RT&H) Ministry of Road Transport & Highways, (MoRT&H) Govt of India is the ex-officio President of ASRTU. ASRTU has expertise of 50 years for promoting public transport in the country. At present, 62 SRTUS including 7 associate members are the backbone of mobility for the urban and rural population across the country collectively operate about 1.5 lakh buses and providing gainful employment to 1 million people. ASRTU service includes to promote public road transport and to make Indian public road transport at par with the international standard.
