Ghatge Patil Transports Kolhapur, recently inaugurated its Mercedes Benz Super High Deck Multiaxles, to be included in its fleet. Ghatge Patil becomes the first operator from South Maharashtra to introduce Mercedes Benz Super High Deck Coaches on road. The inauguration ceremony was held at Ghatge Patil Transport office premises at Kolhapur. Mr Mohan Ghatage, MD and Owner and his wife Mrs Nandini Ghatage inaugurated the buses in presence of office staff and Mercedes Benz and Bharat Benz Officials.
The Mercedes Benz Super High Deck (SHD) 2436 is manufactured at Diamler Plant, located at Oragadam, Chennai (Tamil Nadu), India. It has a high seating capacity of upto 61 push back seats and 14 cubic meters of luggage space. Built with a unique aluminique body, this coach is the lightest in its class offering ultra fuel efficiency. It has an active steerable axle that results in low turning circle diameter to effortlessly navigate sharps turns and bends with a long bus length of 15 meters. It also
has an advanced braking system and a strategically positioned fuel tank for added safety tank.
