Bhagirathi Trans Corpo Pvt Ltd, a group booking private operator from Mumbai becomes India's first Private fleet operator to induct Zhongtong Navigator Buses in India. Zhongtong, a bus manufacturer from China have joined hands with Deccan Auto from India to manufacture its buses in India, at a bus plant facility, near Hyderabad, Telangana.
As per sources, Bhagirathi have purchased two Zhongtong Coaches in 12 mtr biaxle and 13.7 mtr Multiaxle variants. The buses were put on Mumbai - Ahmedabad route initially and were on Ahmedabad - Kolhapur route on trial basis.
My friend and a bus enthusiast from Kolhapur, Shantanu Gokhale had a chance of clicking the pics of the Zhongtong biaxle coach in Kolhapur.
