With what can be termed as a leap ahead towards Zero Carbon Emissions and decarbonizing the environment, HRTC (Himachal Road Transport Corporation), the STU (State Transport Undertaking) of the State of Himachal Pradesh have acquired BYD electric buses from China. Branded as Goldstone by BYD these buses are purely electric. These are left hand drive buses on trial and will run on Manali - Rohtang route for few months.
After successful trials, right hand drive versions of these coaches will be inducted into the fleet
