The new Volvo B11R now available in two variants - 13.8 mtr and 14.5 mtr are powered by Volvo D11C 410 HP 11-litre six cylinder in-line common-rail BS IV compliant turbo diesel engine. The D11C 410 HP Volvo rear engine produces a massive 1980 Nm of torque at 950 - 1400 rpm. The coach has a Volvo I-Shift 12 speed AMT (automated manual transmission) gear bix with built in hydrodynamic retarder. The electronic architecture of the bus is a fully integrated master multiplex architecture for on-board diagnosis of the vehicle health.
The 14.5 mtr B11R coach showcased at Bus World have semi sleeper Prakash Fainsa seats in 2+1 seating configuration. The coach also have a pantry and a chemical toilet for passenger convenience. The bus and passenger safety have been standardized based on Bus Code compliancy. The coach bears five fore extinguishers on the rh side. There are three hd (high definition) cctv emergency hooter controlled by the driver in case of emergencies.
