Biswajit SVM Chaser: BOCI - Prawaas 2017 Curtain Raiser Event

BOCI (Bus Operators Confederation Of India) is the Confederation, meaning apex organization of all the State Federations across India representing private sector Bus and Car Operators, BOCI represents six important segments, viz., Intercity, Intracity, School Bus, Employee Transport, Tour Operators and Maxi / Tourist Cabs. BOCI aims to promote Safe, Smart and Sustainable Integrated Transport solutions to the citizens of India in close co-ordination with all the stake holders from public and private sector across India.

BOCI is organizing an Inaugural Edition of Prawaas 2017 - India International Bus & Car Travel Show. This 3 day event will attract who's who of the Bus & Car sector from the public ans private sector for the first time ever. The objective of Prawaas is to develop unified vision that will facilitate safe, smart and sustainable integrated public transport solutions. Prawaas is a thought-leadership forum as well as the most rewarding B2B platform for the stakeholders.

Several sessions of Curtain Raiser events were held throughout major metros across India. I attended the Bengaluru Curtain Raiser event held at The Lalit Ashok, Bengaluru on 5th July 2017. The Curtain Raiser event discussed the emergence of BOCI Council in India to address the challenges faced by the Bus Industry in India and the prospects of development through joint efforts on a common platform. The event also discussed the activities prior to the main event of Prawaas to be held in Mumbai on July 28, 29 and 30th at CIDCO Exhibition Centre, Mumbai.
