My Visit to Veera Vahana Udyog Pvt Ltd, Bengaluru

I paid a visit to Veera Vahana Udyog Pvt Ltd, one of the known and popular Bus Body Builders in India, on 17th August 2017. Located at Jigni, in the outskirts of Bengaluru, Veera is one of the known bus body builders on Tata and Ashok Leyland Chassis in India.

I met Mr Arun Rao, Vice President - Sales and Marketing, Veera Vahana and had a technical discussion on bus body building, which was very informative to me. We also discussed about Veera's latest product in the market - The Veera V7 "Samrat" AC Sleeper. With an innovative front and rear fascia with an aerodynamic spoiler at the rear top, the coach has aesthetic looks and have been the cynosure of attraction at the recently concluded BOCI "Prawaas 2017" event held at CIDCO Exhibition Centre, Navi Mumbai.

The visit to the manufacturing and production hub was very knowledgeable. I visited the bus paneling and the bus paint booths. The Veera Official accompanying me explained the entire bus building process from the initial Chassis - Structure mating to the finished product. I also spoke to Mr H.P. Mohan Kumar, Executive Director, Veera Vahana, regarding the company's approach to the bus body building in terms of bus codes with reference to bus and passenger safety. Veera's approach and insights to safety is worth appreciable and the company is adherent to the Bus Codes AIS 052 and AIS 03.
