Daimler entered the Indian market and established Mercedes-Benz India Ltd in 1994. The company was renamed Daimler Chrysler India Pvt Ltd after the merger of the parent company Daimler with Chrysler. After Daimler Chrysler demerged from Chrysler in 2007, it changed its name to Daimler AG. As a result Daimler Chrysler was renamed Mercedes-Benz India once again. Mercedes-Benz India is a wholly owned subsidiary of Daimler AG. Mercedes-Benz pioneered the car market of India. The company is headquartered in Chakan, Maharashtra. Mercedes Benz was recognized as India's most admired company in a survey by Fortune India magazine in 2013. In 2015, the brand was adjudged Economic Times' brand equity's 'India 's most exciting brand'and topped the survey in automotive four-wheeler category. The company has also been ranked number one in the J.D. Power Customer Service Index 2015 among the luxury brands.
Mercedes Benz E-Class at Prawaas 2017
Mercedes Benz had its information stall at the recently concluded inaugural edition of Prawaas Bus and Car exhibition at CIDCO Exhibition Centre, Vashi, Navi Mumbai India.
Mercedes Benz E-Class was exhibited. The new E-Class is sophisticated, confidently stylish and sporty. Its design displays hallmark Mercedes-Benz saloon proportions. The elongated bonnetcoupled with a coupe-esque roof flowing into a sensual, broad shouldered tail end creates an exciting silhouette. The powerfully extended vehicle body is characterized by short overhangs, a long wheelbase, large wheels and taut, well-defined flanks displaying a fresh, stylish and dynamic interpretation of the feature line.
