Arasan was born and brought up in Bengaluru. He stays at Banaswadi, 8 kms from his office at Marathahalli, along with his parents and sister. He started working from 2012 at Go Tour, as a bus driver / crew in the company, until an unfortunate bus accident in February 2018, which left him physically disabled and changed his course of life.

Narrating about the unfortunate day, Mr Arasan said, "The Go Tour bus, which i was driving met with an accident on highway, near Gooty, Andhra Pradesh on February 28th, 2018. I lost control while driving and the bus overturned on the driver side on the divider median of the 4 lane road. My right hand got crushed beneath the bus. I was conscious but i could feel the pain of my right hand getting crushed due to the weight of the bus. I could see passengers of my bus and other public taking pictures and videos of me, but no one came forward to pull me out of the rubble. I asked water, but people were rather anxious filming me." He further added, "Later my colleague driver, cleaner and a truck driver lifted the bus with the help of a jack and took me out of the ill-fated bus. Since the toll plaza was only about 10-15 kms away, the ambulance arrived after being informed, although 108 ambulance serviced was also called for help. I was being taken to the nearest Gooty Hospital for emergency aid."

At Gooty Hospital, Mr Arasan's right hand had to be amputated unfortunately as it was injured and crushed severely beyond recovery in the accident. One passenger, aged 27 years who was affected with deep shock in the accident lost his life due to his deteriorating condition. Mr Arasan was shifted to Colombia Asia Hospital located at Hebbal, Bengaluru. with help of Mr Narendra, MD of Go Tour, who not only took responsibility of Arasan's treatment but also gave him mental support and assured him of continued employment at this company even after his disability after his accident.

Life post-accident, totally changed Arasan's life course. Feeling the pain deep within him, Mr Arasan spoke, "It took around 2 months to recover from the injuries in the accident. My right hand has been amputated and now I can no longer drive a bus. My parents and sister cried, when they saw me in this condition, at the hospital. My mother became unconscious at the hospital due to the shock she received after watching me. But with support from our MD, Narendra Sir, I returned to Go Tour as an office staff on May 10, 2018. I currently handle online ticket booking, general office work and customer service. The accident have changed my phase of life.
